## Frequently asked questions

**Q: What is your service area?**
A: Les Entreprises A.H. serves the Outaouais in Quebec (Gatineau, Aylmer, Hull, Buckingham, Chelsea, Cantley and surroundings) as well as the greater Ottawa region in Ontario (downtown Ottawa, Kanata, Orleans, Nepean, Gloucester, Barrhaven). Call 514-250-0847 to confirm coverage.

**Q: Do you do new asphalt paving?**
A: Yes. We do residential asphalt paving (driveways) and commercial paving (parking lots, access lanes) including preparation, drainage, laying and compacting. Typical timeline: 1 to 3 business days for a residential driveway.

**Q: When should I sealcoat my asphalt?**
A: Sealcoating is generally recommended every 2 to 3 years on residential or commercial asphalt surfaces. It protects against UV rays, water and de-icing salts.

**Q: How long before I can walk and drive on freshly sealed asphalt?**
A: After sealant application, the surface is walkable after about 4 to 6 hours depending on temperature. You must wait 24 to 48 hours before driving and avoid heavy loads for 72 hours.

**Q: Do you repair asphalt cracks before sealing?**
A: Yes. Cracks 3 to 25 mm are routed and sealed with hot rubber sealant before sealcoat application. This step is essential to prevent water infiltration under the asphalt.

**Q: Do you offer parking lot line striping?**
A: Yes. Parking lot striping is available as a complement to commercial paving or sealcoating, or as a standalone service on existing surfaces. Available for businesses, apartment buildings, schools and shopping centers in the Outaouais and Ottawa region.

**Q: Do you do interlocking IN ADDITION to asphalt?**
A: Yes. As a complement to our asphalt specialty, we offer interlocking stone restoration and maintenance (pressure washing, polymeric sand replacement, repairs, wet look option). You can request an estimate for one, the other, or both in the same project.

**Q: What is the Wet Look option?**
A: Wet Look is a finish applied to interlocking stone after cleaning and fresh polymeric sand installation. It gives a glossy wet appearance, enhances natural paver colors and adds a protective layer against UV rays, water and de-icing salts. Protection typically lasts 2 to 3 seasons before reapplication.

**Q: When should I have my interlocking maintained?**
A: Residential interlocking requires complete maintenance every 3 to 5 years: pressure washing, polymeric sand replacement, repair of sunken sections. Without maintenance, sand degrades, weeds appear and pavers shift. With regular maintenance, interlocking can last 25 to 40 years.

**Q: How long do interlocking restoration projects take?**
A: A complete interlocking restoration (pressure washing + sand removal + repairs + fresh polymeric sand + wet look option) generally takes 1 to 3 business days for a standard residential driveway. Larger commercial surfaces may take 3 to 7 days.

**Q: What time of year do you work?**
A: Les Entreprises A.H. operates from May to October. Asphalt, interlocking and sealants require minimum temperatures (generally above 10 degrees Celsius) and no frost period for proper application.

**Q: Do you provide free estimates?**
A: Yes. Estimates are free with no obligation. We come on-site to evaluate the surface, necessary repairs and recommended intervention type. Call 514-250-0847 to schedule, in English or French.
